Vaccination: too cheap bounty for clinical trial

U.S. President Joe Biden announced last week that he would require federal officials and contractors to vaccinate. If they do not inoculate, they will be required to wear a mask at work, keep a social distance with others, test every 1 to 2 weeks, and restrict business trips.

Meanwhile, labor unions have expressed opposition and cautious views. The White House is not considering making vaccination mandatory for the entire nation.

Opposition among conservatives remains strong, with Florida, Texas, and Arizona governors challenging vaccination requirements and vaccination passports.

In Japan, according to Article 9 of the Immunization Law, vaccination is not obligatory and is at the discretion of each individual. In the meantime, workplace inoculation has been carried out. Some people say that while they were concerned about the potential risks of vaccination, they felt pressured to inoculate.

What would I do?

If I were a U.S. federal employee, I would choose mask + social distance + regular inspection + business trip restrictions.

If I were in a Japanese workplace, I would opt not for vaccination. The local government sent me a ticket for vaccination, but I passed.

The current corona vaccine was approved at an unusual speed of less than a year. In a normal clinical trial, animal experiments are conducted for 3 to 5 years after identifying compounds that are candidates for new drugs. In other words, corona vaccine inoculation can be said to be a global human experiment.

There is a YouTuber who contacted the Ministry of Health, Labor and Welfare, and asked an official "Are you in a stance of monitoring the status as it is still in a clinical trial?" The official clearly said "Yes, that is correct."

If you are a regular clinical trial subject, you will receive a reward. If you take a drug that has cleared animal experiments, it is about 500,000 yen ($4,559) for one month's hospitalization. If you take health food for two weeks, the reward is about 120,000 yen ($1,094.)

On the other hand, even if you inoculate a vaccine in the same timeframe as animal experiments, the reward is zero. The $100 bounty announced by U.S. President Joe Biden is still too cheap.

In the above video, the Ministry of Health, Labor and Welfare states that "it is necessary to continue collecting information."

Under these circumstances, people who were healthy until vaccination have various symptoms afterwards.

A 28-year-old woman had a large amount of hair loss from the third day after the first vaccination, and one month later her hair was almost gone. When she reported this on her blog, she received a comment saying that one of her readers had similar symptoms.

According to the Israeli Health Minister, the incidence of myocarditis (a disease in which cardiac function declines due to abnormalities in the heart muscle) was 5 to 25 times higher than usual in men aged 16 to 24 years after vaccination.

Three cases of blindness after vaccination were reported in Japan, and there are about 300 cases overseas. Possible reasons, according to an ophthalmologist, are vascular occlusions and inflammatory diseases caused by vaccine complications. In particular, diabetes, high blood pressure, and old age are high-risk factors.
