Home is where you make it

I’ve received a packet from the owner of my place to renew the contract. I’ll sign it and that means I will have lived here for eight years. When I decided this place I fell in love with it before seeing any other properties in the area. I still love it and have no complaints whatsoever.

Since my parents passed away, I’ve owned our five-bedroom house on a mountain where I spend weekends and holidays. Together with my one-bedroom apartment, I keep a total of 256 square meter space just to myself.

In both locations, neighbors are quiet and there is no noise. I enjoy this tranquil environment in which I don’t face any fights, nags, hierarchies, rivalries, competitions and compromises. In fact, I am not too into dramas or intense feelings.

Outside home, I negotiate as necessary and generally I can do well, although that does not mean I am very fond of that process.

I would rather like to use that energy to listen to every detail of a piece of music with my favorite loudspeakers.
