Two-week “staycation”

Due to a sudden change of work, I started a two-week holiday from today. Seriously I have not decided anything to do, which is actually the source of excitement.

Last night I enjoyed being a night owl, followed by a lazy Saturday morning checking out how active my FB friends are. That helps me explore other parts of the world while having the pleasure of being absolutely lazy…yes, take it easy, that’s what I want to do.

Actually I did also check out other options such as cheap rail tickets, one being JR’s Seishun18 Kippu, about a $100 package comprising five one-day tickets, meaning with $20 one can go anywhere using local trains per day. I fondly remember going to the Tsukuba Expo with a friend of mine when I was exactly eighteen by using this package.

As I’ll have at least three intensive overseas business trips later this year, I might as well save energy for that. The good news is that this summer is not that hot, thank God. It does feel a lot different from recent years when the maximum temperature was nearly 40 degrees C which well exceeds 100 F, whereas these days around 30 C (about 86 F.)

I would like to change curtains of three rooms in my second house, and I will probably do some serious shopping examining what would match them. I’ll go swimming, maybe do some cooking, foot massage, etc.

Staycation – that is the best.
