Whenever I switch on any television channel, I see food most often.
For us, food is not just the source of nutrition or energy. It is
the art, because how it is arranged physically does matter. Poorly dished food
is unthinkable.
Average Japanese men do not appear to pay much attention to how
they look, but they are indeed very particular about other entities’ physical
appearance including food.
People, women and men, have zero tolerance for bad taste. They compete
by taking and uploading pictures of food that looks delicious in a similar
passion of parents taking photos of their children.
It is interesting to remember that people have increasingly stayed single their entire life in Japan including myself.
