The Fulbright Program, my scholarship sponsor, assigned me to do the English training program at a university on the West Coast intentionally because I was going to attend graduate school on the East Coast.
I JUST LOVED IT. I've visited quite a few universities so far, and at least in terms of the campus, Stanford is my all-time No.1. I would say it does not even look like a uni; rather, it is a dreamy paradise.
Here is a token of the best part of the campus, the Palm Drive. The team of Japan -- a classmate from the Ministry of Foreign Affairs; another from the Ministry of International Trade and Industry; and myself -- won the championship of an English grammar contest. To celebrate, our English writing teacher gave each of us a key holder of the scene.
I wouldn't mind repeating that summer anytime...the picture conveys a glimpse of the aura, but one has to be there in person to see what I mean.
