Grotesque “Brenter” jeers

Once “Brexit” became official, there has been stormy backlash against it. Some even started to deny a referendum, or claim that Leave voters are ignorant.

Are they really stupid? Have the “Brenter” jeerers directly talked with at least one of the Leave voters and conclude these voters are collectively dum? If not, isn’t the Brenter fanatics that are actually ignorant, at least about their opponents’ arguments?

Even if one does not know those who voted Leave, BBC Radio London, for example, dialogues with a variety of people, both Leave/Remain. This is one way to hear their voice.

I have friends in both Leave and Remain camps, and I can understand both of their opinions. That said, I can personally relate to the Brexit side from a view point of a tax payer as I wrote before. I believe the British people are entitled to choose who should enter their home, just like any non-EU States such as Japan, the U.S or Australia.

U.S. President Obama said “I do think that yesterday’s vote raises challenges posed by globalization” (see article.)

I think so, too. I would characterize this whole Brenter vs. Brexit discussion as globalization vs. localization. Both have pros and cons. The question is how to strike a good balance. It seems to me that EU bureaucracy domination might have gone too far. This referendum has made me ponder over the role of countries, international organizations and people in different professions.
