- The best thing, I hope, is that Syria will be in a better position with a U.S.-Russia collaboration. As opposed to
never-ending battles and mess in which everybody fights each other, it would be
most efficient to establish peace under the current Syrian Government so that
the international community can then help Syrian people choose their leader.
- Mr. Trump’s top priority sounds like he wants to recover manufacturing industry jobs from Mexico and China. He has repeated that “I have no
special interest but you, the American people.” Heavy industry (coal
power, steel, etc.) workers appear top in his list.
-
For that reason, he probably has to deny
climate science and the Paris Agreement. Meanwhile, somebody needs to produce steel or other necessities (and emit a large amount of CO2) somewhere anyway. The
promotion of local production and local consumption is expected to reduce
carbon footprint in the transportation sector. I personally wish that the Clean Power Plan will continue, but that would be a long shot unfortunately

I don’t understand why a private matter like abortion,
even medical treatment for risky pregnancy, is such a big political issue in
the U.S., and totally support Secretary Clinton’s argument that women’s rights are the same as human rights in general.
-
As Mrs. Michelle Obama noted, the voice recording of Mr. Trump's "locker room banter” was gross to say the
least. Some men, especially among very successful professionals, tend to have infinite
energy in whatever activities they’re engaged in, including approaches toward
women. He seems to belong to this category. I know such people and feel
helpless.

Children are a mirror that
reflects their parents. Among his five children, Mr. Donald Trump, Jr. and Ms.
Ivanka Trump’s speeches were very impressive, something that made me feel they
are sane and capable.
-
Mr. Trump has criticized “corrupt
media” that refused to televise the huge crowd of participants in his rally and thousands of people that could not gain access to the venue, and instead
focused on Bon Jovi and other celebrities cheering up Secretary Clinton. While I recognize that the press could be biased, they have also historically played an important role as a watchdog that is vital to democracy.
