My role model: Queen Victoria

A movie I saw recently "Victoria & Abdul" was so impressive that it has determined the direction of my life. Queen Victoria is my new role model.
She was the ruler of the British Empire in its pinnacle. London Victoria Station thrives to symbolize that era.

According to the film which is "mostly" true as the BBC noted, she was an eternal student to learn passionately about the territories she governed. In Scotland, it was her habit to have a luncheon in the middle of the wilderness regardless of the ever-changing whether.
In her later years, she keenly asked about Indian affairs and local language and culture from a young man who was sent from India just to deliver an item to her. Once she concluded he was brilliant, Victoria designated him as her own tutor. She was nearly seventy at that time, and continued her study until her death at 81.

Indeed, she had cultivated similar relationships with other teachers such as Prime Ministers Melbourne and Disraeli. These people include servant John Brown, who saved her from decade-long depression due to her husband's death by guiding her with her horse riding, walking, and swimming.

Queen Victoria was able to obtain these teachers because she had the political and economic power. Similarly, in today's capitalism, one can identify, choose and hire brilliant teachers by paying them tuition fees.

Even if it starts as commercial transaction, priceless friendship does develop from the close interaction between the teacher and the student.

By earning money, I would like to explore this wonderful world.
